#29BlackTastemakers: Joy Moyler

February 19, 2016

“I believe each space should enhance the next, creating a dynamic overall effect.  Each project is approached with a fresh eye and sense of what works best for the individual(s) and the architecture.  I enjoy combining classic elements with a modern aesthetic, yielding an unpredictable yet comfortable environment”.

With a Bachelor of Science Architectural degree, and twenty plus years experience,  Joy Moyler developed Interior Architecture skills by working with some of the most notable interior design and architectural firms around including: Ralph Lauren, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Kohn Pederson Fox, Swanke Hayden Connell, John Saladino, and The Office of Thierry Despont.  This laid the path to Joy's distinct Stylemaking credentials.

Past Residential and Commercial Design Projects domestically and internationally have included: John Mayer - New York and Montana Residences, Leonardo DiCaprio - Residence, Angelo Moratti - Two Residences, David Garrett Residence, Thomas Keller Residence, Harry Winston (Beverly Hills), Paine Webber (New York), The Mittal Residence at Kensington PalaceGardens (London), David Geffen Residence, Giorgio Armani Shops (Holt Renfrew/Canada),Chase Manhattan Bank, Price Waterhouse and Merrill Lynch to name a few.

Joy Moyler's diverse design projects have been published in Elle Decor Magazine, Luxury Home Quarterly Magazine, Uptown Magazine, Essence Magazine, Jet Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Quest Magazine, Hola Magazine and Rolling Stone.

I am inspired by culture...everyone’s!  Textiles, food, art.... I cannot pass a spice market without translating what I see to paint colors and fabric!
