What Does Black History Month Mean To You This Year?
It means seeking a deeper understanding of my history to better inform and inspire my life/creative pursuits. I truly believe in the saying, "We stand on the shoulders of our ancestors." and utilize the variety of events, documentaries and exhibits that happen during this time of year as a method of celebrating their legacy.
What Is On Trend Right Now For You?
I'm obsessed with mixing patterns and textures! I believe your home should feel collected not decorated, and I love throwing the matchy matchy mindset out the window! My new mud cloth and wax print heart pillows are a great example. Mud cloth has a grounded sophistication to it while while wax print is often playful and vibrant. Mixing patterns and textures is a great way to create a space reflective of who you are which I'm all about.
